Booking deposits
Hold a booking with a deposit, paid online or in person.
- Open Selling, then Bookings, and open a service or press Add service.
- Enter the Deposit amount.
- Press Save or Add service.
A booking for that service shows Awaiting deposit and is only confirmed once the deposit is paid. The time stays held while it waits.
How the deposit gets paid
- Online: the customer presses Pay the deposit on their booking page. The booking confirms once paid.
- In person: take the money, then press Confirm on the booking.
Online deposits go to your own bank account and need online payments set up. The fee rate is shown on the Get paid screen before you turn it on, and applies only to money collected online. A paid deposit gets a receipt.
